I cannot say anything. Been reading lately a lot about Mexico - I suppose you guessed corectly who is the reason I'm doing so; and there were many times I was shocked!!! In many ways I found hard to believe things I've read and be sure most of them made me really angry.
apparently in Greece tv is free. the logic is ...that's why they sell adverts, otherwise they should not have so many adverts. That goes to the national televiosion as well.
In Finland I think it is ...200 euros a year. Not sure!
But I always been a radio person and I find a good book far more interesting. :)

PD: Actually here in Mexico there are some TV sections.

1: The public channels.. not more than 5 I guess

2: The paid channels with more than 40 channels

3: The very paid channels with 300 ???

4: The VIP and ETC. Channels...

I am already paying the number 2... and still not getting to see my games!

No, actually I am sorry. If I was a bit more informed I would have left out this article, but you have to know I am not a very big football fan, so the world cup has always been like special for me. I am aware that it's a money thing and that there is NO country with FREE tv. I just never realized it since I always watched it with friends or somehow without noticing we paid some "extra"?

But this makes me think also about many other things...

For example did you know here in mexico many famillies steal electricity? It is very common and specially in poor regions to see many "houses" with a wire conected illegal to the electricity lines on the streets. The government IS aware of this and they should not only make electricity CHEAPER, but also provide more machines that don't break down so easily when overloaded.

Same thing with PIRACY. WHY the hell would somebody spend a week salary on a music CD???? Or a DVD or PC GAME? when here in the city there is a street named Lazaro Cardenas where a section 3-5 blocks are full with street vendors offering aspecific thing for example only PC CD'S and the next 4 blocks are music cd's for 5 euros everything! And this is OK even IF on tv you see comercials that say: "NO TO PIRACY".... so why the fuck do we have LEGAL piracy vendors??? I guess cause theres a lot of 5 Euros behind it. At the same time it HELPS people that can't afford things.

People have always found ways to share ideas, music and materials.. and I hope it won't be to far away where some cool guy will stream the futball games and other stuff online. I just really hope these monopolies realize there is more FUTURE in handling FAIR than egoistically racist. Because this is RACISM! (even if it's not in the constitution that people have a RIGHT to watch football - it was, it is and it will always be unfair)

Sorry pal, you know that whole thing about Mexico since I started following it makes me angry.
But please don't think that here in Finalnd is free. Actually television is not free at all.
But coming back to Mexico, you cannot imagiine how I felt when I saw on the Finnish TV the studios Sky Mexico has in Germany. They probably could feed all the homeless for a year with the money they spent!!!
